SmartSpend ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.

when you use the SmartSpend mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us

Account Information: When you sign in via Google or create
an account, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.

Financial Data: We process records of your income and
expenses, including amounts, categories, dates, and merchant names that
you manually enter.

Voice Input: If you use the voice-recording feature, the
App processes your audio to convert speech to text for transaction
logging. Audio files are not stored on our servers.
B. Automatically Collected Information

SMS Sync (Optional): If you grant permission, the App reads
financial SMS notifications from your bank to automatically create
transaction records. This data is processed locally on your device before
being synced to your private cloud storage.

Receipt Scanning: If you use the AI Receipt Scan feature,
images of receipts are processed using on-device or cloud-based OCR to
extract transaction details.
2. Permissions Required
To provide its core features, SmartSpend requests the following permissions:

SMS (READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS): Used solely to detect and
import bank transactions automatically.

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used only when you activate the
voice-command feature to log entries.

Biometrics/Fingerprint: Used for the App Lock feature to
secure your data locally.

Internet: Used to sync your data with Firebase and process
In-App Purchases.

Billing: Used to manage Pro Version subscriptions via
Google Play.
3. How We Use Information
- Synchronize your financial data across devices via Google Firebase.
- Provide automated insights and spending categorization.
- Process transactions and manage your Pro subscription.
- Improve App performance and fix bugs.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
We use the following trusted service providers:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, Firestore, and cloud sync.
- Google Play Billing: Processing premium subscriptions.
- Google AdMob: (Free version only) Displaying advertisements.
- Google ML Kit: On-device text recognition and analysis.
5. Data Retention and Security
Your data is securely stored using Firebase's encrypted infrastructure.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the
settings menu within the App.
6. Accessing and Deleting Your Data
Under the GDPR (for EU users) and CCPA (for US users), you have the right to
access, export, or delete your personal information. You can do this
directly through the App settings or by contacting us at the email below.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of
any changes by posting the new policy within the App.
